At 25% we have reached a few goals! We have obtained images with the Matterport camera and completed scans of two rooms, which are in the current model in Unity. We have decided to collect as much data as we can with the Matterport, scanning as many rooms within the Dexter building as possible. We will soon decide whether we will just use the somewhat rough looking scans made with Matterport in our experience, or if we will model some rooms in Maya, as we did with the hallway last quarter. We have also filmed a 360 video of a professor speaking, part of our interactive experience. We have placed this video into the model as well, projected onto a sphere. We also applied skins to the students in the game (preciously blue cylinders), which will be rigged and animated. Lastly, we have began implementing conversations in the experience - we have been able to have part of a conversation be triggered by the user being within a certain distance from one of the students. We've also added a menu of questions (which the user can hover over and select), and having the question menu condense once a question is selected by a student. Stay tuned for more updates!
